Rolling Hills of Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand is a place with great diversity where snow- clad mountains, green hills, fertile valleys, flowing rivers and thriving lakes add to the natural beauty. Hill stations are ideal for vacationers because of unlimited serenity and tranquility.



Day 1

Arrive and check in at hotel. Proceed for a sightseeing of Tapovan, the place where it is believed that Guru Dronacharya had his ashram. Also visit Tapkeshwar Temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and known for its association with Mahabharata. Enjoy the Doon Valley, Bell Tower and see the Doon school. Evening free for shopping. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 Dehradoon Mussoorie (30km / 45 min approx.)
Check out of hotel and drive to Mussoorie, popularly known as the Queen of Hills, situated at an altitude of 2003 mts in the Garhwal hills. Check in at hotel. Balance day free to enjoy the quaint hill station. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3 Mussoorie
After breakfast excursion to Kempty Falls (15 Kms) - the biggest and prettiest waterfall located in a beautiful valley surrounded by high mountains. Bathing at the foot of the falls is refreshing. Then proceed to the Nag Devta Temple, about 6 kms away which provides charming view of Doon Valley. Visit the Mussorie Lake, a popular picnic spot. Get a panoramic view of the Himalayan range from Gun Hill. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4 Mussoorie / Rishikesh (75 km / 3 hrs approx)
After breakfast depart for Rishikesh - the meeting point of the Ganges and Chandrabhaga Rivers. It is said that Bharata, the brother of Lord Rama, did severe penance here. A temple of Bharata was constructed at this site, and the town of Rishikesh grew up around it. The town got its name when Raibhya Rishi performed tapasya here. Lord Hrishikesh (another name for Lord Vishnu) came before him and granted him darshan. On arrival check-in at hotel. Evening visit the temples at Rishikesh Geeta Bhawan, Ram Jhula , Laxman Jhula etc. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5 Rsihikesh Haridwar Rishikesh (25 km / 30 min approx)
After breakfast leave for a full day trip of Haridwar. Visit The Bharat Mata Temple which has statues of different mythological, historical legends and religious deities on each floor of the temple. Spend some time at the Har Ki Pauri Ghat, where thousands of devotees come to take a holy dip in the river Ganga, during the Kumbh Mela. Gangadwar Temple and Maya Devi Temple holds religious discussions on Hindu religion. Evening return to Rishikesh. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6 Rishikesh / Delhi (205 km / 4 hrs approx)
After breakfast depart for Delhi to take your return flight.
